A 7 day brown rice fast is one of the easiest forms of fasting for many people because it supplies the body with nutrients, detoxifies the body in a gentle way (thus producing fewer detox side effects) and doesn’t involve complete fasting as a juice cleanse can.
When you do the brown rice diet, you only eat brown rice for 5 to 7 days. You won’t suffer the challenge of being hungry or getting low blood sugar. You can flavor your rice with Bragg’s Liquid Amino Acids, similar to soy sauce but healthier since it only contains natural sodium. A little miso paste with garlic and ginger powder will also give your brown rice diet a little variety. Other seasoning herbs are also acceptable, however, be moderate. For a little spiciness, add cayenne pepper. You can also use a little agave nectar, maple syrup or brown rice syrup for a slightly sweet dish. But only do this once a day, if at all.
