Low standard flash software will break any inventive electronic magazine. Once you've chosen to produce an online magazine the essential decision is to pick out your software vendor. This isn't about just picking some good format for your creation - indeed this decision is serious because it may well mean the difference between success of failure for your overall venture.

Visit and review our marvelous source for interactive catalog products.

It’s distressingly simple to wreck even the best digital newsletter, never mind how much creativity has been put into it, with low-grade online publishing software. When you’re determined to make an online catalog the key decision is to pick out the software vendor. This isn’t about just formatting your ezine nicely – quite the contrary, this is a much more serious choice as it may well mean success or failure for your venture.

The most important part of the package is, of course, ease of use. The software package could be the most amazing you’ve seen – but if you’re unable to actually use it, it’s not worth anything to you! Take the time to dry run multiple packages before you decide on a provider for your ezine.

Further major considerations you need to make are about security. Next on the list to think about are spammers. Think about what is protecting your account. How about the content? Does the software supplier have something which prevents the general public copying and pasting the content? Has a business plan been created yet? Where is the role of non-traditional media in it? Where does ad-handling fit into the plan? An over-arching of your business should be present throughout. Selling your online newsletter will probably need search engine appropriate content.

When creating an online newsletter, you’ll have to deal with old issues. What public accessibility is there going to be? Direct hosting with the supplier likely has a certain amount of sense with a widely available publication. Summaries and teasers work well publicizing your business.

Technical support offered by the software provider should be a large consideration. How do you contact them? Be assured of their response time! Check any FAQs or how-tos they have. These considerations might seem minor now, however should there be an emergency, you’ll be glad you thought about this early on.

Your choice now will be what determines how your publication does – think carefully when you choose your vendor. Google the term “Zmags” for further ideas.

The wrong online newspaper package can break any creative electronic magazine. Actually, picking a software supplier is the most important decision you'll take when you make an online publication. They do a lot more than merely help you set your content into some pleasant format.

It’s easy to wreck even the best digital newspaper, no matter what energy has been put into it, with a bad choice of electronic newspaper package. In fact, picking out a software supplier is one of the most important considerations you’ll take when you produce digital publication. And do bear in mind that they do a lot more than simply help you place the content into a pleasant format. The most important part of the package is, obviously, it’s intuitiveness. If you can’t run the software it doesn’t matter how great it is claimed to be. Take the time to try out multiple packages before you pick a provider for your ebrochure.

In making an online newspaper you also need to maintain awareness of the problems posed by spammers. Is your endeavour protected? Does the online publishing software supplier have security to keep the general public from just copy-pasting the words?

Once you’ve created an electronic newspaper it’s time to outline a commercialization timetable. Whatever marketing strategy you come up with, you will should think about such things, perhaps not for each issue but instead for the company in its entirety. What use will you make of non-traditional media? What consideration has been made of dealing with adverts? Advertising your interactive newspaper will probably need search engine friendly content.

Is your content solely going to be offered for free? You should think whether you can offer single copy and multiple subscription possibilities. Will you be monetizing your content in any way or is this venture not-for-profit? What about using summaries to sell this digital publication? How accessible is your newspaper? Will it be private: then you should be able to investigate several hosting options or will it be public? In that case you should host directly with the provider. What will you be doing with back copies?

Prior to striking a problem you need to think about a few more things as well. What is the technical support like? Is it simply an FAQ page? Also check any sort of how-to guide they may feature. Check for response times. Do they have 24 hour support? Tech-support might be your last consideration at this stage but it should be a decisive factor in your choice. Chances are you don’t want to find out the hard way that they’re actually not up to it! The selection you make here will be what will decide whether your newspaper goes well or not – think carefully before picking out your vendor. Google the term “Zmags” for more useful ideas.

In conversation and in literature, point of view, POV, means the way the speaker, writer, or reader look at things. In literature, POV means the vantage point or position from which a writer tells a story. POV determines how much information is given to readers by the writer. Someone has to tell a story, and that someone is called the narrator.

When we discuss point of view, we look at three possible positions, four if the two forms of third person are considered separately: first person, second person, and two forms of third person.

First person has the narrator as a character in the story. The narrator is able to tell only what he or she sees, hears, knows, and thinks. Any information about happenings out of the narrator’s hearing or sight must be revealed to him by someone or something else. A first-person narrator does not know the thoughts of other characters. The narrator can be a main character or a minor character and uses pronouns such as I, me, mine, my, we (if the narrator and one or more other characters are involved), us, our, and ours.

Example of first person point of view:
Margaret spun toward me, a sneer twisting her face. “Leave me alone; just leave me alone.”

Shocked and startled, I stammered, “Ma … Margaret, I … I … don’t understand.”

Second person involves the reader. The pronouns you, yours, your are used other than in dialogue. This POV is best used in written instructions or directions. All expert sources advise writers not to use second person for essays (unless instructional), stories, or novels, because the reader is not part of the plot, action, dialogue. Writing as if the reader or readers were creates a distraction in the flow of what’s written.

Example of second person point of view:
When you reach the interstate, turn north and travel six miles to the Nowater Road exit. Take Nowater Road three miles east to Funshine Drive.

Note that sometimes “you” is the understood subject rather than written in the sentence. Using an understood “you” makes the POV second person, too.

Third person has two forms: limited and omniscient. The narrator is not a part of the story or essay, only an observer, in both forms. The pronouns used, unless in dialogue, include he, him, she, her, it, they, them.

Third person limited allows the narrator to see, hear, and know anything that one character does, including that character’s thoughts and feelings.

Example of third-person limited
Jackson watched the slaughter of animals in disgust. He couldn’t believe that others could be so cruel and ruthless. “I wonder how they can sleep at night?” he muttered to himself.

Third person omniscient gives the narrator access to the actions, words, thoughts and feelings of all the characters in the writing. The narrator sees all, hears all, and knows all.

Example of third-person omniscient:
Jackson stumbled up the incline to his car, not knowing that hostile eyes followed his every movement. Royce stared after the other man. What is he doing sneaking around here? he silently asked himself. He decided to follow his former friend.

As Jackson climbed into his car, he caught sight of his reflection in the rearview mirror. “I look as if I’ve been crawling through the wilderness.” He ran his fingers through his hair to remove some of the twigs and grass.

Some writers change from one POV to another, perhaps switching from chapter to chapter from first person to third person. If done well, that practice is an effective tool, but it is one difficult to do correctly. The most consistent method is to write in one point of view throughout the story/book/essay. The writer has less chance of confusing the reader.

Most seminar and speech evaluations are devised for one of two purposes: (1) Fault finding; or (2) Compliment fishing.

By scanning the questions you can usually tell what the agenda is of the instrument designer, or more aptly, the survey’s sponsor.

But there is a third type that you can construct quite easily or administer improvisationally, that will yield better, more reliable information and feedback.

If you’re a contract instructor, or you work for a university or for certain corporations, they’ll force you to administer their standard questionnaire. Generally, I don’t have a problem with that, though I doubt the probity and overall effectiveness of their devices.

So, in addition to handing out theirs, I’ll distribute blank sheets of paper or brief, preprinted forms that ask: “What did you like?” and “What didn’t you like?”

Additionally, “Will you recommend this seminar to your associates and managers?” and “May I quote you?” If the answer to the last question is “Yes,” then please print your name and company name.

To me, this set of questions “covers the waterfront,” so to speak.

Attendees will disclose exactly what’s on their minds and not try to make their impressions fit the awkward questions contained in most evaluations.

Also, they’ll address the most important topics in their estimation.

Most important, you’ll be able to mine testimonials that you can use in your marketing, later on.

And one more thing: If the hand written evaluations are at variance with the standardized forms, you’ll have “proof” that you were effective and your sessions were worthwhile.

If you have a website and you need more content on a certain subject then it makes a whole lot of sense to find a very high-upload rate online article submission site and get their daily online email alerts and ready those articles which indeed seem worthy for your subject matter. It is also a great idea to do this if you have an Email Ezine that you send out to check up on content. Further it is a great tool for online article authors too.

In fact I would recommend that the writers who are specializing in categories or areas of expertise to use this awesome feature, to help you and your writing. You will learn new ways to approach the subject and be able to create new articles coming from different angles on the subject matter. This will allow you to have additional perspectives and dive deeper into your subject matter and when you write about a subject coming from all angles and encircling the issues you end up with additional key words in the articles.

This is good because not all human brains are used in the same way or problem solve similarly and therefore you may reach a whole new audience of people who are looking for things and searching them in a different way. I hope all this makes sense. I think I should put together some more articles on this subject of how brains think and how Internet Article Marketers and writers can take advantage of this fact. Good stuff indeed. Consider all this in 2006.

Shhhhh…I’m going to let you in on a secret. According to an article in the March 2005 issue of USA Today, “82% of all Americans want to write a book someday.” The fact is that most writers simply need a jump-start. They have what it takes to write, but aren’t sure where to begin.

So you have an idea that you’ve been wanting to write about? Maybe it’s a “How To” book or a Life Event that you believe others can benefit from reading. Maybe you have a Racy Romance novel that is burning up the pages of your notebook. Well, here are 5 Tips that will give you that jumpstart you are looking for.

1	Do your research. Find out who wants to buy the kind of book that you are writing! What’s the market like? Are there enough people looking for the kind of book you want to write or is the subject matter juicy and timely? Where would you go to find your book? Start looking there. Type the subject into the search field of Amazon.com and see what comes up. Be persistent so you can feel confident that your subject matter will be well received. It will help you write.

2	Organize your thoughts. Write and outline to help you organize your thoughts. Don’t worry about naming the book, in fact, the title should be the very last thing you do since you will not know the complete essence of your book until it is done. Create ten chapters (to start with and you can add or take away later), decide what facts and feelings need to go into each chapter, figure out which chapter will contain the climax and then determine how you will wrap it up neatly for your readers in your last chapter.

3	Dedicate the time. Only you can dedicate the time needed to accomplish this goal. Write every day. Never stop writing for even one day. If you do, it can make it much harder to get back into the flow of your book the next time you begin. Do it, even if it is only a paragraph or a few sentences. Make it fun.

4	Understanding your publishing options. You can submit your work to be published by a conventional publishing house or you can decide to self-publish. Exploring both options is important, as there are benefits and drawbacks to both, such as money you may need to invest and how well you handle rejection letters!

5	REWARD yourself. The process of creating, editing and rewriting is not an easy task. This is a piece of you that you are getting ready to put out there in front of the world; it can be scary. Remember to reward your hard work. Do not make finishing the book the only chance for celebration. Set small goals for yourself and when you reach them reward yourself. Maybe it is some much needed time alone with friends or a trip to the mall for those sunglasses you have been coveting. Having a coach to keep you working in the right direction and encourage you along the way has been the way to go for thousands of authors; yes, even the most famous ones!

Essay writing is an indispensable part of academic life – something a student cannot overlook. Essay writing demands certain skills on the part of the writer. The term ‘essay writing’ is now more applied in the academic context, while essays are written by famous and upcoming essayists in the non-academic world as well. A well-written essay is proof of the writer’s knowledge of a certain topic. Essay writing is a valuable tool for monitoring the skills of proper organization of ideas, good vocabulary, systematic argument and coherence of ideas.

Essay writing at the academic level requires a thorough knowledge of the primary sources dealt with. It is ideal to develop a system of note taking and carefully sorting the secondary sources referred to. Another significant aspect to note while writing an essay is to pay attention to the keyword, that is, whether one is asked to analyze, discuss, compare and contrast, criticize, define, discuss, evaluate, or illustrate. The style should be clear and should lay out a clear picture of the thesis statement. Lengthy sentences very often hinder smooth reading, as is the case with passive usages.

In essay writing, ideas should be distributed in an orderly fashion using paragraphs, preferably with evidence supporting the argument. Supporting evidence should be well documented in the desired citation style. It is important to avoid plagiarism of any kind while writing an essay and acknowledge the source whenever it is referred to. To get a good end product, the essay should be revised thoroughly. Diction and style are important aspects of an essay and are to be given special care. Wordiness is a defect to be avoided and it is absolutely necessary to proof read the essay upon completion to guarantee that it is error free.

If you want to be a busy “working” freelance writer, you can’t continually miss the mark with your queries, cover letters, and such. Here are some tips for hitting the target with these materials and landing plenty of well-paying and interesting writing assignments:

1. Look at your query letters. What sets them apart from the hundreds of other
queries an editor will receive this month? A good query should show the editor
(of the publication you are targeting) your unique writing style. If the writing in
your query isn’t interesting and engaging, the editor probably figures (and
rightly so) that your article won’t be that interesting or engaging either. Also,
editors receive thousands of queries a year that start off with a question. Be a
bit more original than that and you’ll gain the editor’s interest immediately.

2. Give the editor appropriate writing samples. If you apply for a
freelance assignment you’ve seen advertised somewhere, and an editor asks
for writing samples or an outline for the project advertised, make sure you
really understand what he needs to see. Remember, this editor is just trying to
figure out if you can deliver the type of work the project calls for. If you
don’t already have a writing sample in your files (for the type of work this
editor is asking for), take the time to craft a sample that will show this editor
you can write about a particular subject in the style, tone, etc. that he is
looking for. If the editor has requested a custom sample, and has given you
guidelines for this, then study those guidelines carefully and follow them to the
letter. If you don’t fully understand the guidelines, then ask the editor for
clarification.

3. Make sure your cover letters aren’t including too much information, or not
enough. A cover letter is simply a courtesy, a way of introducing yourself. If
you’ve included a manuscript, resume, or writing clips, state that in your cover
letter. Also, mention why you are writing – in response to his ad for freelance
writers, etc. – but don’t go on and on about your writing background, the fact
that your kids all love your funny stories, etc. Be cordial in your cover letter,
but remember, this is a business letter, after all, so don’t get too chatty.

4. Don’t use a standard resume when submitting to publishers. Develop a
“writer’s resume” that includes just your publishing credits, education, and
writing related activities. Editors don’t care that you worked as a nanny for
three summers, or you were a camp director to put yourself through college,
unless those activities related to writing.

Follow these tips and soon you’ll be right on target to land more and more of
those freelance assignments you’re aiming for.

In many ways, “control” means the familiar, the status quo. And this is the writer’s enemy. Creating, after all, means ushering in the NEW. Spontaneity is where the fire lies; it’s our route to unexpected ideas, and the ring of our own true voices. We can tap into a strong flow of inspiration once we find a way to skirt around the habitual control habits of our censor mind. One of the best ways to sneak passed the guards, I’ve found, is to devote some time each day to unstructured writing. Keep your hand moving, and write out all your thoughts without stopping to consider how good they are or where they’re taking you.

I used a very simple technique to write this article: I started with the idea of “letting go” and then I wrote for about fifteen minutes, recording every thought that came up in relation to this concept.

Anyone recall doing contour drawings in art class? Free-flowing writing practice can be very similar. As you might remember, our teachers had us start with pure contour: drawing something that we’re seeing without looking at our hand. The writer’s analogy would be to write down every thought that passes through our heads, as fast as our pen hand can move, without judging, critiquing or inhibiting.

Then we have our equivalent of modified contour – checking back periodically to see where the hand is – which still entails writing without stopping to question, but holding to a central idea for reference. Any time our thoughts stray we just gently restate the core idea (perhaps “book promotion”, “Google Adsense” or whatever else) and keep writing.

When we let go like this we find an outlet for material that we had never considered or may even have been afraid of. We catch thoughts on the pages that normally would’ve passed right under our noses undetected. Our mental habits can structure so much of our inspiration. When we EXPECT ideas to come only from a certain quarter then we blind ourselves to anything coming to us from other directions. Writing without second-guessing our destination allows it all to spill out before our eyes – and then we can sift through later and separate the gold flecks from the mud.
